Exodus 27:20-28:14; Psalm 73:1-28; Acts 15:36-16:15

Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her. Matthew 26:13, NKJV

Of all the women who followed the Lord, Mary of Bethany was the only one who had the privilege of this service of worship. She anointed the Lord’s body for burial (John 12:7). The other women came to the tomb early Sunday morning, but they were too late! He had already risen. To this day and in every place where the Gospel is proclaimed we hear what Mary of Bethany did. The principle is still true—He honours those who honour Him. —Rex Trogdon

Thy name we love, Lord Jesus, and lowly bow before Thee;
And while we live, to Thee we give all blessing, worship, glory. —W. Yerbury
