Leviticus 9:1-24; Psalms 109:1-110:7; Mark 1:21-45

O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah. Psalm 84:8

Notice the wondrous bookends to this prayer. Until answered, our prayers are upheld between the Lord God of Hosts—the selfexistent supreme God with unlimited resources and power to answer every request, and the God of Jacob—who met him at a time when he had nothing, provided promises beyond imagination and fulfilled every one. Selah! Such petitions invite a pause to ensure they are in harmony with His will and include thankfulness worthy of His abundant grace. —David J. Reed

It is for me to bow with bended knee,
His mercy, love and grace my only plea.
Such resources beyond all measure;
Ah! For me His ransomed treasure. —David J. Reed
