Leviticus 11:1-47; Psalms 113:1-115:18; Mark 2:23-3:12

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself? He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness. John 1:22-23

Two great questions! Who are you? What do you say about yourself? Some might see this as an opportunity to promote themselves, their church or their ministry. How did John the Baptist answer? He said “I am the voice”. You can’t see a voice but you can hear it. John was the voice, but Christ was the Word. The voice has no value apart from the Word. It can be our privilege too, to be a voice for Him. —Sid Halsband

Take my voice, and let me sing,
Always only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be,
Filled with messages from Thee. —Frances R. Havergal
